Not only it doesn't "stick" to silver, but it also has higher firing temperature than melting point of silver. I generally don't think it's especially good product. Once I saw in your shop that you sell also yellow gold. I guess it can be fired with silver?Drakonariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12934565573283703487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5895342903773202134.post-60089469464986055172012-12-05T03:25:20.286-08:002012-12-05T03:25:20.286-08:00Thanks Ladies!! I don't know if the Art Clay has a larger particle, but 22k should sinter at the same temperature. But who wants to run firing tests on gold?! ;-) (ok I did....but you can't sell a product without testing it!). 18k Green Gold Clay has a lower melting point than either 22k yellow gold because of the addition of more silver. I picked this firing temp because it was as high as 14k Rose Gold Clay could go and still sinter the 18k Green Gold Clay. The melting point for 18k is higher, so you could fire higher.

I just switched to free shipping worldwide on the 18k Green Gold Clay and 14k Rose Gold Clay. I use a small package size to keep cost reasonable. (It seems more painful to try 22k at 3 grams for nearly 200USD. But half the cost for more than half the clay seems ok!) Anna did get quite a few leaves out of just a half order! If you're interested, I can ship two halves an order of each clay, just let me know...I will create a listing maybe this weekend. Free shipping through the end of the year. I'd love more of you to have the opportunity to try it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5895342903773202134.post-13312130912770255292012-11-30T06:47:13.118-08:002012-11-30T06:47:13.118-08:00Gorgeous work!! I ...Oh yes, this firing thing makes it so great. I 've never worked with any kind gold clay before and I was trying Art Clay 22K yellow gold clay at the same time, and it was so much more work. I had to fire yellow gold clay part first, because is has so high firing temperature (1814ºF), then I had to make tricky embedding, because it doesn't stick to silver, then repair some problems which occured due to the fact that silver shrank and yellow gold had been already shrunk before... And it was pretty stressful, because gold is already so expensive and one still doesn't have quarantee that everything will go well (But I've heard that PMC yellow gold is better, and can be fired with silver (?) ). And with this green gold it was so much easier. Just like working with silver. I was seriously surprised that is so easy, and I haven't heard about it before.Drakonariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12934565573283703487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5895342903773202134.post-3833284011327793802012-11-27T06:27:23.103-08:002012-11-27T06:27:23.103-08:00You may have sold me on this.
